There are things that I always ask those around me and sometimes from around my social networks, of one simple question, that is, why are we asked to be proud to be Malaysian? There's only one possible way for a Malaysian to show that they are really good, that is when they are not in Malaysia. I know, there's this irony in this, but ask a Malaysian working outside Malaysia. When you arrive, other Malaysian will be too eager to meet you treating you like their own family and also wanting to know you better. At that instance, you are really proud to be a warming Malaysian, and it is hoped that you'll treat others the same way.

However, when you're in Malaysia, we are not that. With all that moral teaching you are being forced into for several years of your life, we do not even want to know those around us. Our neighbors, and sometimes, our families too. We just do not give a fuck. We treat them like criminals, and they treat us like assholes with that occasional hi, and frequent gossips about other people.
Of course, I am really curious of what is there to be proud of. Well, we are multi-racial country, but no matter how multi we are, we just have that tendency to judge someone by their race. Okay, I do not judge Indians, because the places I've lived in have little or none Indian, so, for me, they are foreigners. However, I heard that they make excellent lawyers and doctors... all the professional sharks.
As for the Prince of the land, whom by history, comes and conquer, and claim the land themselves... and people might think this is what the white people do. A lot of the older generation thinks that way too without a doubt, but the story of the Kings of the land always and without a doubt comes from Palembang, then the murderer kills someone in Singapore, and then because of his bravery, he chicken up and ran north and established his kingdom.
The story above is very common, but how he establishes the kingdom is rather vauge, how could they just accept the outsider and make them call him king? Doesn't anyone ever question that? Or is it, everyone that questioned that is killed? The history is all collected by folklore and legends. Its more like the bible, no one could prove it is wrong, and no one dare to question the validity.
At least when the coats are coming, they give the land back, but to whom its given back? To the outsider prince's descendant. Now, they fuck a whole lot and multiply, and they are the majority. We add demoncrazy to the math, and abacadabra, they are the rulers
Yes, that's how this country is founded upon.
However, they celebrated independance tomorrow. 51 years of age. and this country is just 45 years old. Isn't there something very wrong?
And how do we show our patriotsm? That is the funny part. More about it tomorrow.
No, not tattooed, but my name was elegantly written on a piece of paper.
Okay, what I'm going to say is going to be offensive to my dad, because I forgot how to write my name in chinese. Oh yeah, I'm a banana, the disgrace of all chinese community, but I have friends who could help me in that. When I asked him to help me to write it out, he was excited as well, because he wants one too. This in turn cause a domino effect and the place is packed.
The amazing thing is that this part art, part me, and part him costs around 10 ringgit only, and currently he is self employed, and his works is worth every cent spent.
The final product is not hung in my room. Not going to show the picture, bluek
I know, this post is two week late but it has been somewhat a priority for me to finish it no matter what. I was back from industrial spying, and this even almost slipped my mind, but thanks to the phone, it reminded me a few hours prior to the starting. Well, I rsvp on this even so long ago till I have to ask the organizers, was I in the guest list? Then I went as usual, and tired and all that, I still manage to go exhausted. Managed a couple of drinks and trips to the loo and it happened, met several people, although not all, and it goes on like normal bloggers gathering.
However, a typical bloggers gathering is rather the same. There must be a camera. Although the ones I saw that night was somewhat interesting, even small people carry around big equipment. Well, if course, I didn't manage to go back and grab that miniature camera of mine, but I am sure that I could steal all pictures available. Kind of like this:

Okay, I look real big, and I won the lunch with him and apparently, I haven't got any indication on when it is, not sure even if he's back from there.
WeiChuen and jacq snapped a photo, and since I was alone, as I couldn't get dear to fly all over here, and he assure me by saying something like this: "Don't worry, there's a lot of single girls out here"... and true enough, there sure is. Since they just met me, I could just get their email addresses, well, that's the end of it. I have no time even to type this post, what makes you think I could correspond?
Okay, most people know that he's big shot , but I guess he needs someone who have never heard of him to win this prize. Okay, since his portfolio is all over the net, I guess its very simple to 'stalk' a guy. I have certain questions for him, I guess the money question is absolutely off limit. Well, all his works are impressive.
Oh, and I did won a second prize, and its not a camera, although I did have my eyes on that mike watch which tracks your heartbeat while exercise, and it goes well with the all that marketing mambo jumbo, although you could guess correctly that I will never fully utilized it, and I also do not win that either... instead I won a coupon which I have absolutely no idea on how to use it. It should be able to supplement two years of web hosting.
There was music, shows and a lot of things I could remember somewhere in my head, but I couldn't write it all.

and yes, I did remember the kit chai ping ice cream. That's a first.
As for the food, just a normal buffet but one of my food is raw. I guess I can't complain much.
Oh ya, I'll utilized my gift real soon to use the exabytes gift coupon.
The entertainment are wonderful considering they went all the way to get an artist who owns a blog. I got them mixed up with the names because I am poor at remembering those names, but all in all, I had an enjoyable time. Thanks to JacQ, Daniel and papaj... i have no idea what's papaj's real name is...
Okay, back to work now...
I know many of those who might stumble here have me at facebook, well, here's a short update of what is going on in my life since the last time I've updated
I won a coupon from exabytes worth 269
went to sabahan bloggers gathering when i was dead tired from work, the only thing that kept me up that night is... the winner is Clement Wong
and thus I got an appointment with the much sought after photographer, and he is a wedding photographer. although he have shown considerable skills in taking other stuffs.... okay, I'll post up the pictures way way later....
and also my thesis is challenging for me this time. it consume most of my time and that made me cut back on all my other activities, the camera is on rest currently because I am too busy. I'll try to have the new site up and running on a very important date to me... so for now, you'll have to bear with this.
Next updates would be around next week.
Consider this, after two whole month of being pampered when I was back in my hometown, I have to face the reality that I need to come back here again to my university, and the first week was always hard, even though I was here for more than 3 years already.
The first thing is getting used to the food period. I don't think I'll ever be used to the food here, everytime I came back here, there is this getting used period which can range from two weeks to a month of food poisoning related symptom, if you don't know what that symptom may be, please use webmd for that, i know, most people do not bother to use the web to do such activity, and they made me to search for them, well, here's a newsflash for you all: the web is not only for porn! although i have no doubt that no one have any difficulty in finding any interesting site which may lead to that. and if you are wondering if i use it for that purpose.... yes!
then was the getting used to the price. they claim that food in sibu is getting more expensive, but comparing to here, kolok mee, used to be RM 4.50 now became, RM 6. I still haven't got through that yet, and the price hike for Sibu, kampua, RM 2 to RM 2.20 Not that big difference! Of course I need get used to this. Some sort of culture shock for me too.
after that was the absence if air conditioning, and wireless, yes, i can't online in toilet no longer! but the heat if still bearable. however, the mosquitoes is the only thing i dislike.
i missed home, and i missed old lady, gone were the days where i could just ring her and get her out. at least till december
hello world, i would be blogging from here now and ever, i just know there are some people who prefer other kind of blog provider, but i am going to think again about the things i write. I just know there would always be stupid idiot all over who wouldn't see an eye to eye with me, but then again, this is mine, so, all you can do it comment. screw my reputation if you want to, but, in the end, i will prevail.
Okay, I have to post this in both blogs because there are some folk out there don't know both of it, so, I need to copy twice
The boss lady of this shop just invited some folk to enjoy her delicacy, and I forgot to thank her for this wondrous treat.
Okay, in stead of taking pictures like 'serious' bloggers do, I did something rather different, I eat and have my little bro do all that work, and this post has been in draft for a week already. I am so busy with everything else these days
At this point in my post, suddenly my notebook failed, so no more pictures, anyway, I think I had a nice time. Thanks all.
Okay, I was there, too, just I didn't have to show my equipment around like all those other people, had a light meal, eat, and drink, laugh, and go back. Then someone else shows up which I've just in time missed his grandeur appearance, but what the heck, I need to pick up someone.
Okay, sorry guys, I'm the last to put it up, too busy with my beauty sleep. ha ha.

Pick a common occupation, lets say a teacher. You ask them, what does it mean to be a teacher? Well, you get all sort of wonderful things from them, and asked them, an example of distinguished person who inspired them to be one. Well, this is the time they mention the unlimited apple polisher which comes with the job. Well, some people even have some sort of corporate tales in order to inspire them to work harder.
An architect will always have the story of Frank Lloyd Wright and his legendary leaked roof, and literally become the stories of all those proud architect who gave it their all in their job. Older generation architect will tell that tales over and over and suddenly that story stopped somewhere and it just end there. Thus there's this sense of urgency for stories to be published, website to established, and all sort of effort to capture that loss knowledge before if finally died, and hopefully, someone will try to look back and be amazed.
In construction industry, there are no pride for the engineers. Who usually get the compliment? The architect, or the client. Look at the magnificent pyramid, who gets all the honor? The Pharaoh, and only his name will be remembered. Thank God that that time they don't compare phallus like we do, the longer it'll become. and who gets the glory? Is it the engineer? The engineer might only be known in certain circles of people, and that's it.
Asked a civil engineer: What does it mean to an engineer? Usually you'll get the normal response, long hours short pay. Well, why are we doing this job? We have been exploited, and abused and a whole lot other factors till up to a point where there is no passion in doing what we do.
Now, ask an engineer to tell a tale that inspire them, or, ask them who John Smeaton was. Well, I have absolute faith in them that they have no idea. Well, there's a lot of tale of passion in this once proud profession. Now this is only a job.
I want to enjoy what i do. I really do. I know the story, I know the concept, and I am real good when I have a reference book beside me. I only know that my stories when reproduced in foochow will sound funny
Dear readers from Malaysia,
Have you ever notice that there's this constant call for Malaysian bloggers to stand up?
First of all, ever asked yourselves who claim to be 'standing up'? Why?
Do we really need that much standing up? I would be more interested if they said something like sit down and relax. In that effect, how about be something more practical like
"Malaysian, learn how to tell bullshit when you see one." Well, honestly, aren't we been fed too much bullshit till in some way that we were full of shit ourselves?
I was amazed by the fuckers of the government party claiming that the opposition is playing 'Anwar playing a political game, says Najib'. To throw this insidious claim at them is just like telling teachers that they are teaching. I was laughing like hell when I read that news. Of course they are doing that. Isn't that their job to do that. What kind of bullshit are they talking about? And to post this up as a headline, is this what journalism really about?
Of course this raise a very important question following that.If Anwar is being political, what on earth are the government front doing? Well, this is what bloggers are suppose to do. Use your brain and think. See more of what he's talking about. I'm not really implying that they did something they aren't suppose to do, just that I wasn't aware that something has been done regarding this.
I honestly do not like to stand up. So, I won't join in the others who claim to 'stand' I would rather sit down and think before I come out with possible things.
Malaysian: Think! Not just bloggers, but everyone as a whole.
Plus an impressive skill is the ability to tell bullshit.
Another issue I would like to say is this thing so called independent ACA. First of all, what does independent mean? They need green light from someone especially when you can see this line "show the seriousness of the Barisan Nasional government in fulfilling a key promise in our manifestos in the 2004 and 2008 elections" source. Why do we need them to do that? Have they ever hear the term: The hand that rocks the cradle.... Now which hand is involved? Think about it.
Use your head once in a while. It helps
As for those who ask everyone to stand, you might never have heard this:
Don't just stand there and do nothing!!!! Idiots!
I guess this education system really fuck everyone from thinking creatively.
